Cairo Eau de Parfum

Not entirely sure about this a sense of smell is something that is very personal and unique to each and ever individual and while I did not find find the fragrances unpleasant in any way I don't think it was right for me

This eau de parfum has a lovely woody scent, with slightly spicy undertones. It's a scent I'd not normally go for as woody ones tend to be a little too masculine for me, however something made this one different and I loved it. The scent lasts for ages, which is great, and is a real 'special occasion' perfume.

This perfume had a woody scent which is a scent I don't usually go for, however it did have a sweet undertone which made it much more pleasant perfume. A little really went a long way and it lasted really well throughout the day.

Initially i wasn't sure but it quickly grew on me and i got compliments while wearing it. It's quite woody and i find you dont need much at all for it to last all day. I'd say it stands out from quite alot of other fragrances on the market

Such a really woody and spicy fragrance, can be used for both male and female. My sister in law has taken a liking to the perfume and has my husband. It does have hints of a sweet undertone as well but can be used for either.

I would say it's quite a sophisticated smell, definitely one to wear on special occasions when you want to be fancy. It's long lasting and packs a punch but not too much I'd say it's perfect really. Had plenty of compliments.

This fragrance is wonderful, in fact it's definitely my new favourite! The spicey notes just stick through and smell incredible. The scent seems to really last too, I loved wearing this on a special meal out (it's perfect for evening wear I think)

Got as a sample to try and can honestly say it does not dissapoint . The fresh notes of vanilla and rose is amazing a little goes along way lasted most of the day and was asked by many what make it was definitely a must . Might have to treat to a full size

You can certainly tell that this is a fabulous quality perfume you can feel the depth of the ingredients used to make this perfume. You don't need a lot and the scent lasts very well. For me it's nice but I feel like it borders on the scent of an aftershave and I just can't get my mind past that.

This is one big perfume. I love my scents to be multilayered and interesting and Cairo from Penhaligon does not disappoint. It starts with a blast of rosy oud sweetness, quickly developing to a darker amber smoke with spicy undercurrents. I also get a lot of wood musk shades throughout the day, reminding me of incense and old churches. This fragrance could work equally well for male or female wearers and it has amazing longevity, lasting many hours on my skin as a strong scent, and days on my clothes. Use very sparingly as it really does stay put and a little goes a very long way. The description from Penhaligon is beautifully poetic, harking back to a sunrise in an ancient city and the scent does make me picture an ornate and sumptuous Mediterranean landscape. It's a very intense perfume, for lovers of complex, magical scents – I'd say it's best for special occasions or evening-wear but this could also quite easily become a signature scent. It would certainly conjure up memories, and turn heads!
