A multifaceted fragrance, Poivre Impérial Eau de Parfum by Caron balances both warm and cool tones. It is composed around two opposing, totally unexpected ingredients – pepper and lotus flower – that blend surprisingly well together. Warmed by a note of saffron, a duo of peppers (black pepper and Sichuan pepper) is galvanised by frankincense. This sacred resin accentuates its spiciness and adds substance. And behind these top notes full of character awaits a floral heart that seems to be floating delicately on water thanks to the addition of aquatic notes.
Founded in 1904 by Perfumer-Founder Ernest Daltroff and the visionary Félicie Wanpouille, CARON is a French Maison of High Perfumery. The meeting of these two minds gave rise to iconic fragrances. In 1919 came Tabac Blond. In 1934 came Pour Un Homme de CARON, the first men’s fragrance. For 120 years, the Maison’s creations have emerged of dualities between unexpected raw materials. Today, the entrepreneur Ariane de Rothschild and the in-house perfumer shine a light once more on these legendary fragrances. All the while, they innovate by composing singular, emotional elixirs. Such is the case of Tabac Exquis, Belle de Niassa and Musc Oli. This creative universe is exalted through sensorial, dreamlike imagery under the creative impulse of Maison Artistic Director Olivia de Rothschild.
